BES surcharge (Bunker-Environmental Surcharge) is a fuel and environmental surcharge applied in connection with changes in fuel purchase and delivery costs, as well as environmental costs related to the operation of ferry services.
The BES surcharge is charged for each commenced meter of vehicle length and applies to freight units on individual ferry routes. The surcharge amount is updated in accordance with the applicable announcements.
BES surcharge rates from April 1, 2026:
