m/f Copernicus is a passenger and freight ferry, a sister vessel to m/f Galileusz, which has been part of the Unity Line fleet for many years. The ship was built in 1995 (previously operating as “Puglia”) and underwent a major refurbishment in 2018, after which it joined the operational fleet of Unity Line.
The scope of the modernisation included, among others, the expansion of the hotel area, replacement of lifesaving equipment, reconstruction of the stern ramp and installation of an additional bow thruster. As a result, the vessel was adapted to current operational standards and improved passenger comfort.
On board, there are 51 cabins offering 128 berths, as well as social, office and storage areas. Passengers (mainly truck drivers) can also make use of a modern cafeteria. The total passenger capacity is 160.
The ferry can accommodate approximately 90 standard freight units, with the possibility of increasing this number to around 100. Its transport parameters are similar to those of m/f Galileusz.
