M/F Jantar Unity

M/F Jantar Unity

Jantar Unity is an innovative ro-pax ferry, designed for the transport of trucks and motorised passengers. It has been created with a focus on travel comfort, safety and environmental responsibility, combining advanced technical solutions with onboard convenience.

Comfort and safety

Jantar Unity meets the Safe Return to Port (SRtP) requirements, meaning that even in the event of a serious failure, the vessel is capable of reaching port on its own. A modern propulsion system and hull design reduce vibrations and noise, especially during night crossings. The use of azipods – advanced propulsion units – together with modern ballast systems improves the vessel’s response to waves and ensures stability even in demanding sea conditions. The voyage is smooth, with reduced motion felt on board.

On board, passengers will find relaxation areas including a cafeteria, bars and family zones. Cabins are designed to a hotel standard, ensuring comfort during both day and night crossings.

A modern air conditioning system with heat recovery (recuperation) provides fresh air and comfortable conditions throughout the year.

Ecology and modern propulsion

Jantar Unity is equipped with four dual-fuel engines operating on LNG and diesel. Thanks to the use of natural gas, CO₂ emissions have been reduced by approximately 25% compared to conventional vessels.

The propulsion system operates in a hybrid mode supported by batteries, reducing fuel consumption and emissions, particularly during port manoeuvres and low-speed operations. The vessel complies with IMO Tier III standards, currently the most stringent emission requirements for marine vessels.

The next-generation hybrid propulsion system has been designed for high efficiency and reduced environmental impact, resulting in lower fuel consumption and further reduction of emissions.
